📋 1. Overview
This Refund Policy governs all paid transactions on the IdeaBiz platform — including expert consultation sessions and investor pitch submissions. By adding funds to your IdeaBiz Wallet or making any purchase, you agree to this policy.
IdeaBiz operates a wallet-based payment system with an escrow mechanism. A key principle of our platform is:
Platform commission is always deducted from the entrepreneur's payment before any amount is released to an expert or investor. No exceptions.
This ensures the platform remains sustainable while fully protecting entrepreneurs — you are never charged commission on services that are not delivered.
💰 2. Platform Commission
IdeaBiz charges a platform commission on every successful transaction. This commission is:
- Always deducted first — before any payout reaches the expert or investor;
- Calculated on the entrepreneur's paid amount — not on any additional charge;
- Only applied on successful delivery — if a service is rejected, cancelled, or not delivered, no commission is charged;
- Non-refundable once deducted — commission is earned only when the service is completed.
| Service Type | Commission Model | When Charged |
|---|---|---|
| Expert Session | % of session price (set by admin) | On session completion only |
| Investor Pitch | Flat fee (tier-based on ask amount) | On pitch submission (refunded if declined) |
The exact commission percentage for expert sessions is configured by the IdeaBiz admin and may vary. The current rate is visible in your session booking confirmation. Pitch fee tiers are listed on the pitch submission page.
👛 3. Wallet & Escrow System
All payments on IdeaBiz flow through a two-layer system:
| Layer | What It Does |
|---|---|
| IdeaBiz Wallet | Your pre-funded balance. Add money via UPI, Net Banking, or Card. Used for all platform payments. Unused balance can be withdrawn to your bank account on request. |
| Escrow | When you book a session, funds move from your wallet to escrow — held securely until the service is delivered or rejected. |
Adding funds:
- You can top up your wallet at any time using UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or other supported payment methods;
- Funds are credited to your wallet instantly upon successful payment;
- There is no expiry on wallet balance — it stays until you use it or withdraw it.
Withdrawing funds:
- You can request a withdrawal of your unused wallet balance to your registered bank account at any time;
- Withdrawal requests are processed within 3–5 business days;
- A minimum withdrawal amount may apply (displayed on the wallet page);
- Funds currently held in escrow cannot be withdrawn until the escrow is released or refunded;
- IdeaBiz reserves the right to verify your identity before processing a withdrawal;
- Withdrawal requests from accounts under review or suspension will be held pending resolution.
Escrow rules:
- Money in escrow is never accessible to the expert or investor until the service is completed;
- If the service is rejected or not delivered, escrow is returned to your wallet instantly and in full;
- On successful completion, escrow is split: service provider receives their share after commission deduction, and the platform commission goes to IdeaBiz.
🎯 4. Expert Sessions
Expert sessions use the full escrow + commission flow. Here is exactly how money moves:
| Step | What Happens to Your Money | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 1. You book a session | Full session price deducted from wallet → moved to escrow | Held in escrow |
| 2. Expert rejects the request | Escrow released back to your wallet — full amount, no deductions | 100% instant wallet refund |
| 3. Expert accepts → session happens → you mark complete | Escrow split: Expert gets (session price − commission%). Platform keeps commission%. | Commission deducted, expert paid |
| 4. Expert accepts but does not show up | Raise a dispute within 48 hours of scheduled time | 100% wallet refund |
| 5. Session quality was unsatisfactory | Raise a dispute within 48 hours of marking complete | Reviewed by admin |
Commission guarantee: The platform commission is always deducted from the session price before the expert receives payment. The expert is aware of this and their listed price accounts for it. You are never charged commission on a session that was rejected or not delivered.
Dispute window: You have 48 hours after marking a session complete to raise a dispute. After this window, the escrow is permanently released to the expert and cannot be reversed.
📤 5. Investor Pitches
Investor pitch fees use a flat tier-based model — the fee is determined by your ask amount (how much funding you are seeking). This fee is the platform's commission for facilitating the connection.
| Step | What Happens | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 1. You submit a pitch | Tier-based pitch fee deducted from your wallet → credited to platform | Fee collected by platform |
| 2. Investor declines your pitch | Full pitch fee refunded to your wallet instantly — no questions asked | 100% instant wallet refund |
| 3. Investor marks Interested or Invested | Pitch fee is earned by the platform — connection has been made | Fee non-refundable |
| 4. Platform technical failure during submission | Fee refunded or free resubmission offered | 100% refund or resubmission |
Important: The pitch fee is the platform's commission for facilitating the investor connection. The investor does not receive this fee — it goes entirely to IdeaBiz as a service charge. The fee is only earned by the platform when the investor shows genuine interest. If they decline, you get every rupee back.
Entrepreneur guarantee: You will never lose money on a pitch that an investor declines. Zero risk — you only pay when the connection is made.
🏦 6. Wallet Withdrawals
Any unused balance in your IdeaBiz Wallet can be withdrawn to your registered bank account at any time.
| Withdrawal Method | Processing Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| UPI / Net Banking | 2–3 business days | Bank account must match registered name |
| Debit / Credit Card | 5–7 business days | Subject to card issuer processing |
Withdrawal rules:
- Only available balance can be withdrawn — funds currently held in escrow are not withdrawable until released or refunded;
- A minimum withdrawal amount applies (shown on your wallet page);
- Your bank account details must be verified before the first withdrawal;
- IdeaBiz may request identity verification (KYC) for large withdrawals or if fraud is suspected;
- Withdrawal requests from accounts under review or suspension will be held pending resolution;
- IdeaBiz does not charge a fee for withdrawals, but your bank may apply standard transfer charges.
To request a withdrawal, go to your Wallet page and submit a withdrawal request. For issues, contact ideabiz29@gmail.com.

The following are strictly non-refundable:
- Platform commission — deducted automatically on every successful transaction before payout. This is non-negotiable and non-refundable once a service is completed;
- Completed expert sessions marked complete by the entrepreneur where no dispute was raised within the 48-hour window;
- Investor pitch fees where the investor has responded with "Interested" or "Invested";
- Wallet top-up amounts can be withdrawn to your bank account at any time via a withdrawal request — unused balance is never locked;
- Accounts suspended or terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service;
- Payment gateway convenience fees charged by the payment processor (not by IdeaBiz).
⚠️ 10. Chargebacks
A chargeback is when you dispute a charge directly with your bank or card issuer. Because IdeaBiz already provides a 100% automatic refund for rejected sessions and declined pitches, we strongly encourage you to contact us first — we resolve it immediately.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting IdeaBiz may result in:
- Immediate suspension of your account pending investigation;
- Permanent ban if the chargeback is found to be fraudulent or in bad faith;
- Recovery of the disputed amount through legal means if applicable.
Contact ideabiz29@gmail.com before raising a chargeback — we will resolve it fairly and promptly.
