How to pick the right order for learning multiple languages.

When you want to learn several languages, it's really hard to figure out the best order to tackle them. Do I start with the easiest to build confidence, or the hardest to get it over with? There's also the worry about similar languages mixing up in my head if I learn them too close together, and I wish there was a clear path to follow.
