Is it better to bootstrap or seek VC funding for an EdTech startup?
We are a team of 3 founders building a revolutionary way to learn coding through interactive gamification. We've hit 1,000 monthly active users. Should we keep bootstrapping to maintain control, or go for a seed round to scale faster?

Bootstrap until you have a proven repeatable sales model (CAC < LTV). VCs aren't just giving money; they're buying professional scale. If you haven't mastered the basics, VC money will just make you fail faster.
In EdTech, speed often wins. If you have a unique tech stack, a seed round can help you capture the market before clones appear.
Think about your exit strategy. If you want a lifestyle business, bootstrap. If you want a unicorn, you'll almost certainly need funding.
